I am Christen Drescher, I am a student at Rutgers University. I am currently working towards my M.Ed with certification in Biological sciences. I have graduated from Rutgers twice before, the first time with my B.S. with a major in Ecology and Natural Resources and then two years later for my M.S. in Ecology and Evolution.
I started off my education thinking I wanted to go into research, but during my graduate work I had a TA. I learned very quickly that I loved teaching even more than I love research. After lots of soul searching, I decided to change my career path to something I will really enjoy. I haven’t looked back since. I am starting my student teaching in the fall and I couldn’t be more excited about it. I can’t wait to interact with the students and watch them discover how amazing biology is!
I currently live with my wonderful husband, 2 cats and and dog and our son Who was born on the 4th of July 2011. These classes are making me think more and more about what type of world he will grow up in and what types of technology we currently use will be obsolete when he comes around. I can’t even imagine what cell phones might be like when he is old enough to get one!
